A great shave to celebrate the vernal equinox. The Omega silvertip brush shown is one of my favorites; it has a big, fluffy knot that holds an enormous amount of lather and feels wonderfully soft on the face. And the lather this morning from QED’s Vetiver shave stick was particularly nice: to my nose, a spring fragrance of the earth rather than flowers.
The iKon razor shown is, if memory serves, version 3.0 of the iKon: the brushed-steel Bulldog Open Comb. It is extremely comfortable and forgiving, which makes on think “mild,” except that it is extremely efficient as well. With a Swedish Gillette blade I had no problem in producing a BBS result in three passes, with no nicks or even discomfort.
A good splash of Guelain’s Vetiver EDT worked well as an aftershave. A great shave.
